Why New Zealand?

New Zealand in recent years has become a popular study abroad destination among international students especially among South Asian students. It is a fast emerging destination among Indian students for quality education and conducive learning environment. Over the past years, New Zealand has witnessed a consistent growth in the number of students preferring New Zealand as a study abroad destination over other countries. The New Zealand government has invested heavily in higher education over the years. Because of that New Zealand universities have more capacity than the number of students. Students with moderate grades can get entry to most Bachelor degree programs easily. Hence the entry requirements are minimal compared to most of the top universities in the world.

Higher Education in New Zealand

New Zealand has eight state-funded universities, 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) and about 550 Private Training Establishments (PTEs), which include English language schools.

Universities offer higher degree-level education. Programmes are research-led and generally academic rather than vocational. In the 2015/16 QS World University Rankings, all eight of New Zealand’s universities were in the top 100 in at least one subject. ITPs and a few larger PTEs offer vocational degree-level education. PTEs tend to offer specific vocational programmes, mainly at certificate and diploma level. You can get the best and professional education with value from any of these educational institutions.

With great universities, high quality of life and stunning scenery, as well as a strong higher education system which has been ranked 16th in the new QS Higher Education System Strength Rankings. Studying in New Zealand can be on the expensive side, but luckily there are a number of New Zealand scholarships available to help the potential students to get the advantage of this unmatchable education system and their upbeat lifestyle!
